Error 1706. Setup cannot find the required
files. Check your connection to the network, or CD-ROM drive.

You are trying to install from a network source
that requires an Administrator Login. Acquire Login and then
install.

Your CD may be damaged or dirty, try cleaning
it and try to install again.

Uninstall office from
add/remove programs. Search Office CD for "offcln.exe".
Run file from search Window, and remove all office files.
Reinstall Office

Sometimes missing or
corrupt files can be a sign of faulty memory. Run a Memory test
on your computer.
